When this happens I'm often frustrated that I don't have enough time in my day to write a respectable 2-4 pages, so I don't write anything.
That's dumb.
I should just write a page, or a paragraph, or a sentence, because writing something is better than writing nothing.
This month will be crazy with family visits, back-to-school stuff, birthday parties, and appointments, but I WILL write something every day.
Do you have days when you don't write anything? Do you want to join me in August and write something every day?

I used to have days where I wrote nothing. I then met an author who said writing every day was key. Now I write 250 words every day regardless of where they end up!!
Best of luck in August!
I'm trying my hardest to write every single day. Of course, every now and then I have one of those days where I come in and I can't even think, let alone actually write. So, on those days, I take a breather. But, I think the other writer was right, writing every day is key. Otherwise, you might lose momentum.
Even if it's not my MS, I'm writing a blog post or a book review or something. There are days when I know I'll do more harm than good for my MS so I pass. This isn't all that often (maybe once every 2-3 weeks) but I trust my gut on this and take a day off.
Works for me.

Challenge accepted. My WIP is sorely in need of some crackin'.
I'm in! I write every day, but not necessarily adding words to my manuscript. That's the intention, but the road to hell and all that...
Every once in a while I still have a day or two where I write nothing, but I've noticed they're becoming fewer and further than they used to be. I try to write a little bit every day, regardless of how much or how little it might be. Good luck!
Every couple of months I will go a week or so without writing, when things get crazy and my creativity well dries up. But generally I write and/or edit something each day.
I definitely have days when I write absolutely nothing, and what I've noticed is that I let it get to me, and then the next day I write nothing because I'm still disappointed from the previous day.
Yes, I will join you in writing something every day this month! :D
Eventually, those 2 to 4 pages WILL be a book!!! :O)
That's how I got my last book written--a few pages a day. Or sometimes just a few paragraphs.
Now I just have to get the thing revised--it's taking just as long, but I'm getting there!
Awesome!
Trying to write something everyday but never accomplished lol ended up developing a website to make things little bit easier:) www.GoodNightJournal.com hope it makes writing something everyday easier.
