I Love Fall

It's supposed to be in the seventies all weekend. Perfection.

What do you love about fall?

Well, its gotten chillier where I am, but I love fall and spring, the seasons between hot and cold.

Crunch leaves aren't as fun as when I was a kid though.

I live where the heat lasts until Halloween. We've actually been blessed with a few cooler weeks thus far in October, but it will be back up to the mid-high 90s this weekend. But...I do love autumn when it finally arrives. After the long, hot summmer there's nothing better.

I love it when the leaves are turning colors-fiery orange, bright yellow and even purple. It's beautiful.

I absolutely love that picture. That's something I'd want to blow up and hang on a wall. It's beautiful and I enjoy the rustling of leaves and picking out pumpkins.

I saw the first snowflakes of winter today on my drive in to work. Fall's great, with the apple-picking and pumpkin pies and deliciousness of Thanksgiving right around the corner, but winter's really my favorite time of the year.

I just like the back half of the year in general.

I like thinking that though it's fall (Autumn for me:) in one hemisphere, it's spring in another. like the world is pendulum or something.

That, and mulled wine.

I heard FL is supposed to be in the seventies too, so we'll be weather buddies all weekend. Except you don't have to deal with the humidity. And you get pretty leaves to play in. Darn.

Know I know who stole our nice weather HERE! Our high is 52 degrees today. Plus the heaters at my work don't get turned on until he last week of October. I feel like a popsickle.

But I'm glad someone out there is enjoying a lovely day. I'll just close my eyes and imagine I'm in your neck of the woods. Sigh.

This picture makes me love Fall more than I actually do. But if I had to pick one thing, it would be wearing my boots! I love fall wardrobe.

Shallow, I know.

Happy writing!

I love fall because there's no bugs and you get to wear a sweater, except we've had winter this week, so I'm looking forward to the warmer temperatures.

That pic makes me want to go for a hike. I love fall--the colours, the cool, brisk air, smell of burning firewood as I walk the dogs, and all the harvest. Yummmy squash, apples, and grapes to name a few!

I love this time of the year! I may post on this as well. It's gotten a bit chillier where I am, which is super-fantastic considering it's the South. Lower 40s all weekend. Woo hoo! The cool weather and the chance to pull out my cute fall sweaters tops my list.

Halloween is my favorite thing about fall. I think that's a combination of two things. The nights are usually really cool, maybe even cold, by then (this year the weather turned cool early, yea!) and it's fun to dress up my kids.

I used to love going to Utah and Idaho this time of year when I was a kid. I LOVE the fall colors. We were up that way a couple of weeks ago, but it was too early and the leaves were just starting to change. I'd love to live somewhere with actual seasons. :)

It's 98 here at the moment, sigh. The summer decided to return just to show it could. I grew up in the East and loved fall for it's crisp air and beautiful colors. It is the season I miss most.

I love that we've finally opened the windows! Hooray for cooler weather.

Fall is my favorite season! I love all of the changes. The problem this year is that change seems to be happening way too quickly. They're calling for snow flurries in the morning here. Yuck!!!!! We still have soccer games.

I love fall because there are no more flies or mosquitoes! The break from the heat and humidity is a plus, too.

I miss seeing the leaves turn. :( But that's why I go back to Baltimore every October. I need my Fall fix. ;)

PS...HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was stuck inside all week because we were sick, but I LOVED watching the tree outside our window turn from bright green to orange before my eyes in just a few days. So FUN! I love reading your blog, Natalie!
