Make Friends with a New Blogger!

I've received a few blog awards lately and I just wanted to say THANK YOU! My mommy memory is almost non-existent so I can't remember who gave me awards or what they were (and since my organizational skills are nearly as bad as my memory, I didn't write them down like I should have). But just know that if you gave me an award, it made my day. Thank you.

I want to pass along some of the kindness so I thought I'd tell you about a few writers I've discovered who are new (or at least a little newer than me) to the blogging world:

Mary's blog has made me laugh and cry. That's about the highest praise I can give.

Cammie's attempting to revise her first novel in less than a year. Her insight into the writing and revision process is unique and interesting.

This funny and sometimes random new blog is well worth a visit.

All of them are fun reads. Go check them out and make a new blogger friend.

And thanks to all who read and comment here. I appreciate all of you more than I can express!

Question for today: Have you ever met one of your blogger friends in person?

(I haven't, but I plan to when my critique group girls, Megan, Marie and Karen, and I go to SCBWI in NY in January! Will any of you be there?)

So jealous. I've only been to NY once and I was 12 at the time. Ah, memories... it'd be nice to go back now that I can appreciate it and all.

But no, I won't be making it. Have fun though!

I read two of those blogs already. I'll have to check the other one out. I haven't met a blogger friend in person, but one of my best bloggy friends lives two hours away from me. We are planning to meet in the middle one of these days. You know, when we have time. Ha!

Nope. Never met a blog-friend in person. Granted, I've only been a part of the blogosphere since July so I haven't really had that opportunity yet. But still ... any of y'all come out to New England feel free to look me up.

I love meeting writer friends! And to meet them at a writer's conference in New York? How fun!

How fun for all of you! I'd love to go to the LA or NY conference someday.

Great minds think alike. I posted about awards just minutes ago. I wish January would hurry up and get here. :)

I'm still a baby to the blogging world but I would love to meet many of you one day.

Hope you have a blast in January!

I just read your post - thanks so much for the shout out and the praise Natalie.

I have quite a few blogger friends that I know through writer's conferences and writing classes I've taken.

There are lots of bloggers I would love to meet if I get the chance.

I already read two of those blogs, but I'll check out the third. I've never met anyone in person from the blogosphere, but if anyone ever makes it up to Alaska I'd be game!

I recently had the rare opportunity to meet R.L. Lafevers when she came to Texas to promote her new book. I love her blog-- so helpful-- and her books are fun. It was about a thirty mile drive, but worth it to meet her.

During the two SCBWI conferences coming up in Texas in January and February I will get to meet several more.

Alas, most of my bloggy friends live on the other side of a small puddle...it's called the Pacific something.

Although, I am hoping to be going to the U.S for a holiday next year. Fingers crossed...

I've never met any blog friends, either. I'd love to have the opportunity, though.

How I wish I could go to SCBWI! Maybe someday.

Thanks for the new blogs, Natalie. I love reading about new writers or folks that I haven't found before. One of these days we should have a blogging conference so we can all meet!

I've met two! I discovered by weird coincidence they both lived in my teeny tiny town not five minutes away from me. So now we meet once a week and just talk writing. It's awesome.

Always fun to check out new blogs. Thanks for the links.

I had the amazing privilege of meeting several blog friends at the ACFW conference in September. I was so thrilled and love them all the more now. It really is an amazing blessing!

Those look like great blogs. I've already commented on one of them ;)

Nope haven't met anyone in person yet. I sure want to. My crit partner lives a couple time zones away, so sadly it might be a while until I meet her... It would be interesting to meet some people though :)

How fun! I have met several blog friends at a retreat we planned over the summer. It was awesome! I hope you have a great time.

I think the only blogger friends I've met so far are people I met in person first. I'm sure that will change over time since I just started blogging in June and I hit a few conferences a year. Didn't you say you may go to NYC in January? If you do, I may run in to you! :)

I came by to tell you I really liked your interview with QueryTracker. It was very inspirational, Natalie--truly. I'm happy you have an agent!

I just found your shout out for my blog, that is so sweet. I feel so flattered. I have only been in the blogger world for three weeks and I have been received with so much love. Thank you so much.

Congrats on your blog awards, both received and given. I have some new blogs to check out now.

PS: Yes, I've met some blog friends in person. It was fun but a little bit weird. I'd do it again, though, for sure!
