That's right. I decided I'm going to participate in National Novel Writing Month. All the girls in my writing group are doing it, and I don't want to feel left out. :)
I planned to participate unofficially, and start on my manuscript now instead of in three weeks, but I decided it would be better to wait a few weeks and have the support and camaraderie of thousands of other writers. I was checking out my region on the NaNoWriMo website and there are a lot of writers close by. There are events to get everyone together, and I think it might be fun to meet some writers face-to-face.
I'm going to outline a few scenes before November 1 and possibly work on one of my other projects for the rest of October. When November comes I'm going to work hard, blog little, and finish a novel!
Any of you doing NaNoWriMo?

I'm new to your blog. Yay! That's great you have a little writing community. I'm attending a class for NaNoWriMo. Camaraderie is great; writing is such a lonely hobby (but sometimes my characters keep me company).
thanks for the prayers, natalie. it has been a crazy ride these last couple of months. :)
good luck with nanowrimo. if things settle down for me, i'll do it.

I'm doing it, too. I wasn't sure, but today I had this sudden urge to do a simple outline of a plot that I've had an idea for months. The more I outlined (which I never do) the more excited I got. I can't wait.
*hand waving* Me too! Me too! This will be my first time participating in Nano-I only learned about it last December. LOL
Yup-I need to update on my blog how many words I've written this month, the unofficial OctoPractiMo :) (october practice month)
Yeah, not going to participate in NaNoWriMo unfortunately. Since I write at my office, and November is earnings season, I'm not going to have enough time to get 50,000 words done by month's end.
Maybe in a few years (when I only have one job), I'll attempt it.
I'm in Nat.
I just blogged about it. I am going to write a couple of synopses for ideas that have been floating around my brain awhile. Then I'm going to attack one of them!
Everyone's blogging about Nano today. Darn. I'm thinking I need to go scrap my lazy post and talk about Nano just to fit in.

No! Don't succumb to the peer pressure!
Stand strong against the NaNoWriMo masses!

Good luck!
This year, every year!
Just think when November comes, you will have a book written! You can do it.... YEAH!!! :O)
I cheated and got started early. Made 50,000 words last night, yay!
This MC wouldn't let me wait til November, haha...
Ah well. I'll try again next year.
Man, maybe I should officially sign up. Okay, I'll do it.
Love the new picture, by the way.
You know, I think I will. The timing is perfect, and it will give me a few weeks to hash out the details before I start. Thanks for the reminder!
Good luck! Also, I'm excited for you, meeting some writers in your region. You guys will have fun! I'm not doing NaNoWriMo, but I'll cheer you on!
Good luck! We definitely need to buck up and give NaNo a shot...maybe next year.
I've heard much about NaNoWriMo but I've never looked into it. Maybe I should check out the website....hmmmmmm
Good luck. I might join you. Haven't decided yet.
Eeep. Good luck!! Start making dinners now and then freeze them. LOL!
NaNo is too much of a change for me. And I fear change. :)
Woo Hoo! It's my first year doing NaNo! That's cool that there are writers in your community!
Good Luck :)
Woo hoo from me too. I'm nervous, but it should be fun. :)
